The Le Grand High School Track and Field team delivered an outstanding performance at their away meet at Golden Valley on March 7, 2025. Competing against tough competition, our athletes demonstrated resilience, determination, and incredible athleticism, securing multiple top-ten finishes across various events.
One of the standout performances of the meet came from Diana Gonzalez in the Triple Jump. With a remarkable leap of 26' 2.5", she secured a top-nine finish, showcasing her power and technical skill in the field events.
The Varsity Boys 4x400 relay team, composed of Jorge Diaz, Julian Garcia, Miguel Moreno, and Alexis Rodriguez, put forth a solid effort, finishing in the top seven with a time of 3:56.32. Their teamwork and endurance on the track were truly commendable.
Not to be outdone, the Girls Varsity 4x100 relay team, featuring Geraldine Reyes, Paola Alvarez, Anahi Granados, and Elisa Angel, also landed in the top ten, clocking in at 57.06 seconds. Their speed and smooth baton exchanges highlighted their potential for even greater success in upcoming meets.
Individually, Julian Garcia made waves in the Boys 200-meter dash, earning a top-ten finish with an impressive time of 24.00 seconds. His speed and focus on the track proved him to be a formidable sprinter in the competition.
Paola Alvarez showcased her explosive speed in the Girls 100-meter dash, placing in the top nine with a time of 13.72 seconds. Her efforts reflect the depth of talent within Le Grand's sprinting squad.
The entire Le Grand Track and Field team should be proud of their performances at Golden Valley. Each athlete demonstrated the hard work and dedication that defines our program. With this strong showing, the team is poised for even greater achievements in the meets ahead. Congratulations to all the athletes—your school and community are proud of you!
